The LFP Team
Probably without peer, this is truly a ‘team’ of not only very good friends and quiet achievers, but a unique blend of highly talented, skilled and experienced individuals in the true sense of the word.

Kim LedgerDirector/Owner
Kim Ledger is the owner of LF Performance Products and has been in business in Australia for nearly 40 years.
Kim has a fairly single minded approach when it comes to building racing cars. He created this enterprise by bringing together a wide variety of skills on offer from many of his long term friends and associates within the motor racing industry, all of whom have similar creative and fastidious approaches to building and preparing race cars.
Between them, these highly skilled craftsmen and engineers have well over a century of expertise designing and manufacturing components for motor racing and other high performance applications. These craftsmen have extensive engine building and preparation backgrounds, ranging from many years in Formula One to local Australian Club Racing, Speedway, Rallying and Off Road Racing.
Kim, a former Western Australian Speedway Speedcar champion, has raced cars in the highly competitive streetcar division at Barbagallo Raceway in Perth and still competes in tarmac rallying around Australia including Targa Tasmania, Targa West, The Australian Tarmac Challenge (formerly Dutton Rally) and Hill Climbs in his various racing cars.
He was also a founding director/shareholder of Pfitzner Performance Gearbox (PPGearbox in Adelaide, SA), founding director/shareholder in the RAC Driving Centre in Perth, founding director and still owner of Wescone Distribution (Wescone Iron Ore Crushers) and part owner with Joe Biondillo of Premier Plating in Bentley, Western Australia.

Mike Ng Operations Manager
Mike is a meticulous operator, highly organised and with more than 25 years experience in the industry, he is the perfect front for our highly skilled craftsmen producing top quality products for all aspects of racing and road motor vehicles.
Mike is the first and last point of contact at LF Performance Products, ensuring that customers are completely satisfied with our quality, delivery and performance.

Terry Fielding Design Engineer
Terry has more than 45 years of design and engineering experience including mining equipment, process engineering and specialist automotive products.
Automotive structural components such as chassis, suspension and aerodynamics are his passion. Terry designed, developed and constructed the very successful TRF Sportscar in house at LF Performance Products.

Brad Stacy Technical Fabrication
Brad takes enormous pride in his work and has a reputation as the best welder/fabricator in this industry in Western Australia. His vast personal experience dealing with all matter of materials for both repairs and or perfect fabrications (given mud maps or detailed drawings) is remarkable.
This ‘metal magician’ has also been involved with Kim Ledger for 25 years building race cars, roll cages, alloy radiators, intercoolers, fuel/oil/air tanks, manifolds and numerous other go fast products.

Mat Bolton
Mat has had vast experience servicing and building British Leyland and Rover products. He has been with LF Performance Products since 2005 specialising in engine building, electrical/wiring, race preparation and dyno tuning. His quiet and methodical approach to each task guarantees a reliable product.

Lee Bolton
Lee is our experienced in-house CNC machinist, fitter and welder. He is responsible for creating and manufacturing many of our custom race components. His skills and ability to adapt and undertake a variety of tasks has proven invaluable to our team.

Steve Jones
Whilst Steve has been around us for many years driving our cars and assisting with the preparation, he joined the team full time in 2009. He brings not only an amazing driving talent but also a broad knowledge of all Nissan and Mitsubishi products.
Steve’s our in-house practical joker and always has a smile (mischievous at that) on his face. He takes what the boys have produced in the workshop and delivers the final result at the race track.
Steve has won the tough Targa West event two years in succession in the LFP Nissan GTR35.

Ian Allenby Alltune Engineering (Contractor)
As a motor/design engineer, Ian forms an integral part of the skilled and friendly LFP team.
Ian enjoys the R&D problem solving aspect of the automotive industry and has developed a reputation for engineering and building some of the finest pieces of automotive performance equipment for many different vehicles, motorbikes and race cars throughout the last 30 years.
Ian is highly analytical in his approach to developing or improving a product and forms a great source of reference for the LF Performance team.

Phil Porter
We wouldn’t be complete without a talented Kiwi with a good sense of humour. Phul (Phil) joined LF Performance Products in 2008 to assist with engine building, engineering, welding and specialised motor tuning.
Phil was trained with Mercedes Benz and Porsche in Australia and England, then worked for many years with Honda Formula One racing developments in the UK and Sauber Petronas Engineering in Switzerland.

Kathy Mcarthy & Jacqui Migro
Both Kathy and Jacqui have been a part of Kim’s administration/payroll team for over 20 years within several of his companies. Kathy has quickly adapted to many of the ‘racing’ terms and components while Jacqui has been a part of motor sport, particularly Speedway for 25 years.

Mike Figliomeni Engineering & Fabrication
Mike sadly passed away on the 28th October 2006, although Mike may have gone, the knowledge and experience he passed on to the rest of the team will stay with us forever.
Mike was an all round talented motor engineer/fabricator/tuner/race car driver and a true ‘quiet achiever’. He was an integral part of the team and a long time asset to the company. His ability as an individual to understand, build, prepare and race a car were probably unparalleled certainly in Australia and rare in the world of racing.
Meticulous in all areas of preparation for any race car Mike also specialised in utilising our ‘Dyno Dynamics’ chassis dyno with the Australian first LFP ‘12A rotary turbo injected Speedcar project’.
Mike competed at the top level in open Sprintcar racing and was a former four times Australian and six times Western Australian, Speedcar Champion.
