Kerry Wade.
We are very proud of our ongoing association with Kerry Wade who has taken out the Street Car Championship for seasons 2003,2004,2005 and 2006 driving our 1996 Mazda RX7 Series 6 Turbo. Kerry is currently the lap record holder at Barbagallo Raceway with a time of 60.03 seconds. To add to his remarkable achievements Kerry is also the first driver to achieve this amazing feat in the clubs 32 year history.

During the 2006 season Kerry also had an impressive finish in the Saloon Car Class at Barbagallo finishing second in the Championship.

Matt Cherry.
Matt has raced Go Karts from 14 years of age and is a national junior champion. Having also raced formula ford for 2 years achieving State Gold Star Championship status, Matt is a born driver.

Matts driving career with LF performance started in an ex GTP car competing in street car class.

After 1 year of racing for another team in 2004, Matt returned to LF to drive Kim Ledgers Series 6 RX7 achieving runner up to Kerry Wade in the state championship.

Matt continues to drive for LF in street car class and is leading the championship at present, 3 races into the season.

Matt also competes in the Duttons Rally with Kim Ledger and won the Queensland round in 2006 consistantly achieving top 3 results in the LF prepared EVO.

Mike Figliomeni.
Mike Figliomeni was an integral staffmember of LF Performance and champion Speedway racer. Mike suddenly passed away at age 43 in October 2006.

Mike was a four times Australian Speedcar Champion 94-95, 95-96,99-00 and 01-02. A seven times state Speedcar Champion and Sprintcar Champion.
Mike had sucessfully raced in the USA and New Zealand.
Mike was a local celebrity, his image is displayed on the 2006-2007 Perth Motorplex season passes.
Mike has been the only driver to win feature races in both Sprintcar and Speedcars at his home track in Perth.

In 2004-2005 LF Performance and Mike developed a turbo rotary engine solely for use in speedcars. This R&D was the the first ever seen in Perth and was simply awesome.The 2004-2006 season saw a complete LFP speedcar package which sadly Mike only ran at two events of the opening night at Perth Motorplex.

A motor racing Champion and all round "good Bloke", Mike will be sadly missed.

Kim Ledger.
Kim also has an impressive racing career spanning back to age 21 in 1971.

Kim competed at many events in Asia with Dick Ward producing impressive wins through the 70's and 80's.
In 1978 Kim took out the state Speedcar championships and was well known for his 3 car Mobil/Rotomotion Racing Team in the 80's.

At Barbagallo, Kim, Kerry and Matt shared drives in the immaculate blue RX7's with Kim finishing 2nd in the street car championship in 2005 and 2006.

In 2006 Kim co/purchased an EVO6 which he competed in Gymkhanas and Sunday events at MC Motorsports.
Kim also regularly competes in tarmac rally with Matt Cherry and after getting a taste for this form of racing, has competed in Targa West with co-driver Lisa Dunkerton with a vision to do Targa Tasmania in the near future.
